Don`t buy tickets for strangers. Any tickets. Airplane, train, bus... Even theater. It’s quite easy to return the ticket and get the money back to a different credit card.

Don`t send money (and flowers) to strangers. If a person is really interested in meeting, they will post a real photo on the site and exchange the contacts with you.

⛔ "Send me your number" in the first message
This is what phone number collectors do to send spam. Do not give your contacts in the first message. Have a quick chat to know your potential travel partner better.

⚠️ Communication in Telegram / Instagram
Be careful when talking to users who choose anonymous messengers and do not give you their phone number.

✅ Choose fellow travelers who live in your city
Be sure you have a personal meeting with your travel buddy before you go on a trip. It’s much harder to do when the person lives far away, right?

If you feel discomfort, or if you are being forced to do something, consider whether it is worth continuing to communicate.
